Meet Dr. Aniya Farmer

Dr. Aniya Farmer is an educator, community leader, and candidate for State Representative in District 78. A proud Tennessee native now living in Ashland City with her husband, Fred, she has dedicated her life to serving students, families, and communities. As an educator, she has worked every day to create opportunities for young people and support families navigating real challenges.

Through her leadership and service, Dr. Farmer has made an impact beyond the classroom. She has served on nonprofit boards, led community initiatives, and advocated for policies that support women, children, and working families across Tennessee.

Dr. Farmer is running for State Representative because she has seen firsthand where systems are falling short and believes our communities deserve better. From under-resourced schools to limited healthcare access and economic barriers, she is committed to being a strong, responsive voice.

Her campaign is focused on strengthening public education, expanding access to rural healthcare, creating economic opportunity, and supporting safe, thriving communities.
